"Toys For TOTS"
This Holiday Season
The Santa Rosalia Fire Department (Bomberos) is conducting a
“Toys for Tots”
Christmas drive for the children of Santa Rosalia.
Make them SMILE!!!
I pass in front of this casa two times a day.
I printed this photo and returned to give it to them. I talked to Abuela the mother. She told me her family has never had a photo of the children.
These are deserving hard working people.
A small gift from you is the BIGGEST GIFT for them.
We found families that are REALLY in need of assistance.
Toys are wonderful but we can also use tennis shoes, winter jackets, or sleeping bags.
Brenda will personally distribute packages of canned goods if you prefer to assist with a Christmas Dinner.
Please wrap all gift items with a description of the item, age and sex.
Please no battery toys, as these families cannot afford to replace them later.
Drop your GIFTS HERE!!!
We will keep EVERYONE updated on our progress this season.

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE THIS A SUCCESS!!!
Over the past year, the 12 residents have really improved their casa with paint, a new fence, and a room addition.
This family used to live in a camper and cardboard shack right here. ALL 12…Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, Dad, and the 8 children.
Mom works in the Squid plant. This is seasonal work, six months a year.
The dad works too but it’s not consistent either.
The overhead camper is still there. Some still sleep in it and it serves as the kitchen.
The two youngest boys are twins and the little girl, hugging her brother is the aunt of the twins.
The other boy is a cousin and lives across the street.
The other kids in the casa were too shy to come out for a picture.
It’s shocking to be reminded that it’s a luxury in most foreign countries to have a photo of yourself or your children.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks!!!
