Baja 1000
The 2004 Baja 100 passed through the town of San Ignacio BCS on Thursday November 18 about 6:30 PM.
Excitement was boiling EVERYWHERE!!!
We planned to camp all night. We found a spot on Highway #1 a stones throw from a PIT Crew.
The power and speed of all classes is incredible. Needless to say, we didn’t sleep much.
I talked to a driver that arrived at the PIT at about 6 AM.
Some friends and I traveled to San Ignacio to photograph the first vehicles that passed their checkpoint station.
I thought he was late for his class and asked why. He told me he encountered fog on the Pacific and was only able to travel a couple of miles an hour. Sometimes he was at a complete stop. In reality he was only minutes behind for his class.
The fog was just bad luck.
